Field Day is held annually on the fourth full weekend in June. The object is to work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and in doing so to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. A premium is placed on developing skills to meet the challenges of emergency preparedness as well as to acquaint the general public with the capabilities of Amateur Radio. The 2008 Tri County Repeater Association Field Day will be held at the Mike Metzdorf - W9MM residence near Cadott, WI. Click for a map and directions. We are not too concerned with our final score as we would rather have a good time. There is enough time for anyone who wishes to operate. If you have never seen amateur radio in action this is a prime opportunity. Everyone is invited to attend and operate.
